SAFEQ SETUP FOR RICOH MACHINES FROM SERVER SIDE

There are 12 steps while safeQ bundle software is pushed from server including driver for ysoft card reader, here are the steps and troubleshooting procedure.

STEP 1-Device status

Be remembering that machine should not be in busy mode while pushing the software. In busy mode you might find some components missing in extended features of the machine.
Installation will stop on first step IF
Machine is in POWER off mode

Network cable is unplug or any issue with network cable

STEP 2-LOADING INSTALLATION PACKAGE
After device online confirmation , Software package (safe Q and card reader driver) is loaded from server
No issue on this step as server is always UP

STEP 3-Connecting to Device
Connection is establish between server and MFP printer if printer in online.
No issue face on this step as printer is ONLINE
STEP-4
On step no 4  installation of software stops in most of the machines.
Below components are required to check
  Java card
  Machine admin authentication
SC error –Due to that machine is not operational
Step 4-continue
JAVA status in extended feature should be starting up and make sure to keep heap and stack to maximum size in administrator tools under extended features.
If it is stop, start it by web browser or via operation panel by clicking it in extended features
STEP 4-JAVA  continue
Any status like waiting, stop indicates that further diagnostics procedure is required
In this case heap and stack size will not be available.
STEP 4-continue
If still previous condition of java persists, perform the below tasks
  1-  update the java
2- Even if after updating the java card still having same issue- Replace java card with new one.

STEP 4–continue
  Device Authentication
Case 1 :-If no user name and password is set in server while adding device ,SafeQ package can be pushed from server resulting no authentication error .
Case 2  :-  If Default user name-admin & password -Blank is registered in SafeQ server while registering the device  and if same credentials are in concerned device, SafeQ installation will not stop.
Note:- For all machines there is no admin password set in server while adding device but in some machines it is observe that admin password is registered in machine. So before pushing the SAFEQ ,same password should be registered in server for same device or must be deleted with supervisor account to push the software successfully.
 STEP 4 –continue
  Device Authentication
If user name and password is different in server and MFP device on which SafeQ is required to push, installation will be stop on step 4.
  Action required
1- change the admin password to Blank by supervisor account
2- If you know the password, instruct IT SafeQ administrator to add it in the server for this specific device.
STEP-4 SC Error
Rectify the SC Error issue if any
  Regarding java or machine hardware
STEP- 5
No issue observe on step 5
STEP 6 – Synchronization
Synchronization of components on server (SafeQ and Card reader driver) device is done.
In First attempt from sever, both will be pushed on the device
No issue was observing on this stage.
STEP 7-SAFEQ
In this step SafeQ 6.0.0.3 will be pushed to the device
If already installed before, server will skip to next step
SafeQ installation time on device is about 20-30 seconds and installation process can be viewed with ‘please wait ‘on machine operation panel.
Machine shouldn’t be in use during this process
STEP 8-Card Reader driver installation
Card reader  driver will be installed
If card reader driver already installed earlier, server will skip to next step
Card reader driver installation time is about 15-25 seconds and installation process can be viewed with ‘please wait ‘on machine operation panel.
Machine shouldn’t be in use during this process.

STEP 9- Starting the Terminal
After software installation, device should boot from SAFEQ and if it so you will find SAFEQ icon on the home screen of the machine.
In case if machine doesn't boot from SafeQ, Error J522 can be seen from machine panel while clicking SAFEQ in extended features.
STEP 9-Continue

1-       In case of J522, Below should check
SP 5113-2  is not set to 1
  2-        User authentication is ON
Action- Turn OFF the user authentication and re push the software.

STEP 9-Continue
Even after doing the previous task ,still problem persists then do as
Update machine firmware first and then java also
  Check the HDD,RAM
But I didn’t find any issue with HDD and RAM till now
STEP 10
After transfer of software package to device and during terminal configuration if installation stops, perform below
1 - change the heap and stack size to maximum in extended features under administrator tools
  2 – Restart the machine
STEP 10-CONTINUE
In MP C2800, from server installation stops on this step and on machine showing ‘please wait’ while priority is SafeQ, then do as
Remove controller and fix it back
STEP 11, 12 Device Boot up with SafeQ
When SafeQ Boots up successfully in step 10, no further issue is observed in 11, 12 steps.

 Summary

  Check the java status
Keep the machine and java firmware up to date to keep machine operational without any issue with SAFEQ MPS solution.
Mostly having issue on step 4 and 9
Ask the IT administrator at which step software installation is stop.
Admin authentication should be same in server and concerned machine
Before pushing SafeQ, confirm that there is no user code authentication set in the machine
Any further issue observed ,will be share to you
